Genesis Day One Reynolds 853 steel framed Touring/Commuter/Gravel bike. Built around Reynolds 853 double butted steel frame and forks as Genesiss top line steel frame. Steel frames are robust, comfortable, yet responsive. Benefits from Shimano Alfine Di2 electronic shifting internal hub gear - 8 speed. Brilliant for commuting - can change up or down gears when stationary so youre always in the gear you want pulling away from junctions or lights. Gear changes through up and down shifters mounted on right hand brake lever - like Di2 derailleur.

Gear and battery status indicator mounted on bars with weather protected port for charging - Shimano charger included. Electrical cable routed internally along with internal battery below seatpin. Reliable, dependable and no external gears exposed to road muck, salt, rain. Ive included tube of Shimano hub grease.

Controlled dependable stopping with Haynes CX mechanical disc brakes with 160mm rotors. Easy to adjust and easier to maintain than hydraulic disc brakes. Upgraded wheelset built with Mavic 319 rims, 32 Sapim stainless spoking around the Alfine hub. Running with 700 x 35c Continental Gatorskins - roll beautifully and v comfortable on our rubbish roads. Ive used this bike for regular 10 mile commute and found mix of comfort, good stopping and low maintenance excellent. Overall very good condition - mechanically excellent, frame has multiple minor scratches but no dints, distortion. Shimano Alfine singlespeed chainset worn from overshoes in winter - see pictures and left hand crank lightly scratched- 170mm cranks with 42t chainring and chainguard. Finishing kit from Genesis as originally supplied.
