I was given this bike to sell, during a project I did during lockdown to take unwanted unloved bikes and do them up, with all of the proceeds going to a local community trust. This is an 80s Raleigh Classic (probably built in Nottingham) and looks completely original to me.

It has a Reynolds 531st steel frame, 531 steel forks, an original Brooks B17 leather saddle, Weinmann brakes and levers, Sugino triple crankset, and I think a Huret rear derailleur, Maillard hubs and 27 Weinmann rims. Fitted with original Raleigh frame pump, original Jim Blackburn front and rear racks, and original mudguards.

If you know what you are looking at you'll know this grade of Reynolds steel is the cream of the crop for steel frames, and that this bike in this condition with such originality and preserved original high end specification is very hard to come by. It's got some age related marks but everything works as it should.

It's a large frame. I will have to measure but I'd guess it's a 60cm frame. I'm 5'11 and it's about right in size for me - but only just. This is a superb retro/vintage steel bike and shouldn't be missed! This item is in the category "Sporting Goods\Cycling\Bikes".
